What is it? HATIS is a device designed for hearing-impaired individuals to use directly with a cochlear implant or with hearing aids that are equipped with a telecoil (T-coil).
Using your telecoil with a cellular or cordless landline telephone can help eliminate buzzing, distortion and poor sound quality. HATIS Freedom Mach 1 is a device that plugs directly into the audio jack of a cell / cordless phone. The signal from the device travels to a feather-light earpiece that rests on top of your ear. An induction coil inside this earpiece couples with an active telecoil to deliver sound directly to your cochlear implant speech processor.
The HATIS Freedom Mach 1 has a throat-mic that lets you make phone calls hands-free.
